UPDATE  We have firm dates!

According to Rolling Stone, Billboard and Huffington Post, there will be an 18 city North American  tour that will kick off May 2, 2013.
In reality There are 9 confirmed venues in May and June 2013

But the Stones themselves have not yet made an official announcement. Last time they announced on You Tube, so who knows where it will come from this time.
This time it showed up on their website

Sounds like Satisfaction is just around the corner...
...and the corner is May and June 2013  Los Angeles, Vegas, San Jose, Oakland, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and Toronto ...so FAR



Advanced Tickets will be on sale before they go on sale to the public.

Why get advance tickets?  Well, the 3 USA concerts last December at Barclays and The Prudential Center sold out in about 7 minutes.  So if you wait by your computer, with everything all set, your credit card number ready to paste...  and 10:00:01 hits, you will still run the risk of not being able to get tickets because the other hundreds of thousands of fans are doing the same thing.

By getting your tickets early, you have peace of mind, and a chance to take time and look at the venue maps and really choose your seats.

Our re-sale marketplace kicks into high gear and we will still have great seats. As long as we have sellers looking for buyers, we will have tickets on sale

Last Minute Tickets?
Our tickets are on sale, while they last.  We had tickets on sale for the 50th Anniversary Concerts up to until the day of the show.  The closer you get to the concert, the less choice you have.  Prime seats will be quite expensive, but seats in the venue can still be found

NOTE they are scheduled to open the tour in LA at the Staples Center but tickets can be released until the scheduling issues between playoff games with the Kings, Lakers and Clippers are set.

Rolling Stones Fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the Stone just announced another 50th anniversary concert in New York!  It took awhile to complete the negotiations, but Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Barclays Center is the newest addition to this celebration! The concert starts at 8:00pm!

The Rolling Stones have finally announced the first concerts to celebrate their 50 year anniversary. Since July on the actual 50th anniversary date, they have had a variety of celebration events with films, photography shows, books and a new album Grrr! coming out in November. What about a 2013 Rolling Stones Grrr! Tour? 

You Can't Always Get  What You Want.... but to get what we need, we have to kind of go with what they said on their You Tube video, "you don't really think we aren't going to do it, do you?" Charlie Watts did not officially join the band until 1963 so you can still count 2013 at a 50th anniversary tour. Rumors are everywhere, but what has been hinted at by various band members is the possibility of some kind of limited tour, not as long as the last one, but with possibly fewer cities and multiple shows at each place. We will see!

Rolling Stones 2013 Concert Schedule Is Just a Dream?

NO it is not !

When there is a Rolling Stones 2013 concert schedule, we will all know it. (We now do)  There will be a big announcement, ticket ads will show up all over the place, the media will be all over it, interviews with Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie will be endless.   

The Rolling Stones were in London to help open the "Rolling Stones:50" photographic exhibit at the Somerset House.  This date is the date in 1962 that the Stones played their first gig.  The Rolling Stones.com website says to come back on July 12, 2012 to celebrate the 50th anniversary with us.

The Stones did gather last April to jam for a week in Brooklyn, and supposedly there were filmmakers there to get footage for a 50 year documentary.  This info came from an interview with Keith Richards, so that is a good clue.  They have not played together since the closed down The Bigger Bang tour,  and that really is the longest they have gone without getting together, so if they do decide to go on tour, they will have many more of these sessions to get the Rolling Stones groove back on track.  Its not a matter of forgetting, its just getting the blend, timing, and unifying nature you expect from their performances  back on track.   In fact Keith, Ronnie and Charlie probably have the bulk of practice since part of the Stones trademark sound is how they throw the riffs back and forth between them.
